Lucky Warriors!

Enraged Assault redesigned, now Enraged Regeneration: You regenerate 30% of your total health over 10 sec. This ability consumes all Enrage effects and prevents any from affecting you for the full duration. Must be enraged to use. Cost 15 rage, 3 min cooldown.

Not a gamebreaking talent, but very nice for grinding, 5mans and such. Well, now we can poke them just like they have done to us. "YOU CAN HEALZ URSELFZ! LULZ!!"

Arena points reset in Wotlk

I feel sorry for all arena players, they will loose all their arena points on level 71...

We want to provide some information about the direction of the Arena system. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players will find they are still able to access the Arena system at level 70 for rated matches. Those competing in the Arenas at 70 will still be able to attain items using Arena points and rankings; however, we do not currently plan to offer new items or titles for this bracket. Players who level past 70 will have their Arena points reset to 0 and be removed from all Arena teams in the level-70 bracket.

D.E.H.T.A.

If you are in beta you prolly noticed the D.E.H.T.A. (Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals).

It´s a organization trying to stop Hemet Nesingwary. They do give a chance to battle Nesingwary's hunters, and give quests to collect hunter ears!

They ask you to play tricks on hunters, springing baby elephants from traps, and feeding four-legged friends. Their quest line ends in a mounted chase: with you riding down a boss character atop a woolly mammoth, complete with charge, and elephantine roar abilities.

Shamans got new gear

Seems like they removed the Strength and replaced it with AP at the level 70 conversion rate (1 STR = 2 AP). I really hope that they do the same with us Paladins, remove the Spellpower and replace it with Strength.

Why, with over 1000 SP you will do huge aggro?

Well, first. Strength is a cheaper stat than Spellpower, ie. cost alot more itempoints for 20 Spellpower than it does for 20 Strength. This makes it possible to get some Strength than a normal 1:1 ratio would give. And if they are nice they can add about 1 defense per item aswell, so we remain uncrittable in 3.0.2.

Hm, I also have some news about the lvl 80 Heroics. You can´t tank them if you don´t have a Protection specc, never, ever try this. Ok, got it? Some of the bosses in Nexus Heroic hit for around 8000 damage, thats a hit. So get to 540 defense quick aswell, a 16 000 crit is not that nice.

You can see a Heroic Nexus run here, I linked to a run. Tanked by a Tankadin in mainly Heroic blues, but around 4 T6 pieces. If you thought about tanking Heroics in your 8/8 T6 you are wrong, it´s impossible. You won´t have the defense and armor that is needed for this level of damage. They hit like a raidboss!

The Nexus heroic

Holy shit, just saw a video from a tankadins PoV, man, the bosses hit hard! The first boss once hit for over 6000 damage. But the instance seems ince and balanced. And the tankadin abilitys also seem nice and balanced.

The shield slam also hit hor around 1800 - 2000 damage with about 750 block value. Good news. Our cleae also hit for around 950 damage which is nice, it also stack SoV on all mob it hit. Can´t wait to tank heroics! His threat seems insane, so... Who is with me?

Here is the video:

Woohoo, Blizz will look at the Prot tree

To bad I don´t have a bet key, I also want to give some feedback at this thread!

My idea about BoSanc

This way, we will close in on Warriors, so we only have a 1% damage gap between us.
If Warriors can have an extra 3 damage reduction, boss mobs must be balanced to compensate for that, meaning the non Warrior tanks will have to deal with the damage discrepancy.

Improved Righteous Fury
While Righteous Fury is active, all damage taken is reduced by 9%.

Sanctuary
6% of base mana
Eachtime the Paladin is hit by a damaging attack (even it it´s dodged, parried or blocked) the raid gains Sanctuary, when the target blocks, parries, or dodges a melee attack the target will gain 1 rage, 2 runic power, or 2% of maximum mana.

Argent Dawn title

Shit, I must get exalted with the Argent Dawn, anyone knows a good, fast way? Maybe sologrinding Strat / Scholo is a good idea...

We recently added Argent Champion as a title. It will be in the next build.

New for all Warriors!

Congratulations!

  • Toughness now also reduces duration of movement slowing effects by 10/20/30/40/50%.
  • Improved Sunder Armor renamed Puncture, reduced to 2 ranks for 1/2 rage cost reduction.
  • Improved Disarm reduced to 2 ranks, now reduces the cooldown of Disarm by 10/20 sec and increases damage taken by disarmed targets by 5/10%.
  • Improved Defensive Stance reduced to 2 ranks, now reduces spell damage taken by 3/6% and any block/parry/dodge has a 50/100% chance to enrage the warrior causing 5/10% more damage for 12 sec.
  • Vigilance will soon transfer the 10% threat lost to the warrior. It will also have 3 charges to curb using it on targets that are being hit constantly. We’re still polishing this element to get it to feel right.
  • (NEW) Warbringer is a new one point talent on Tier 9 that allows Charge to be used in combat. Did I mention the change to Improved Charge?
  • Critical Block now also increases your chance to critically hit with your Shield Slam by 5/10/15%.
  • Sword and Board no longer triggers when Shield Slam is used, but the chance to trigger has increased to 3/6/9/12/15%. Note these are not final numbers.

Level 80 dummies in next patch!

BoSanc 1 rage confirmed

Well not exactly confirmed, but atleast a screenshot so you can see for yourself.

Beacon of Light looks very good so far

Selecting the tallent gets you four spells in your book. Two are broken and do nothing, but apply buffs that have infinite duration. One casts a heal for 1 (crits for 2) on your target, costs no mana, and does not trigger the GCD. It doesn't actually do much, but it's funny as hell to watch SCT.

The actual functional spell, Beacon of Light, casts a 60 second buff on your target, and grants an "aura" buff with no duration to everyone else in range. Healing anyone with the aura copies the heal to the player with the timed buff. As mentioned, it seems to be effective healing only.

There is no cooldown on BoL. You may flag two or more beacons at the same time. Doing so puts two of the "aura" buff on everyone in the group. However, the "bounced" heals do not continue to bounce. Only the actual direct heals chain, though they WILL go to all beacons.

Warriors will be gimped in 3.0

Yep. With the removal of BoSalv they will be gimped on fights like Brutallus. Only since Blizzard cba to fix the stats on their gear. Palas will have no problems, since we will e pushing over 1000 spellpower when the patch hit. If you can´t hold aggro with 1000 spellpower you don´t deserve to play a Paladin.

Old school talents!

http://wowvault.ign.com/View.php?category_select_id=12&view=Talents.View.Beta

I found this very old school talent tree, this is how the talents looked like when I started my Paladin, when they released vanilla WoW. Anyone remember the good old Divine Favour, Reckoning/Holy Shield, Vengeance/Seal fo Command build? This was a very OP build when you PvPed back then, in full Tier 0 and a Arcanite Reaper! Or if you didn´t have the money, the Doomsaw from Rend Blackhand!

Holy Talents (11 points)

Spiritual Focus - 5/5 points
Gives your Flash of Light and Holy Light spells a 70% chance to not lose casting time when you take damage.

Illumination - 5/5 points
After getting a critical effect from your Flash of Light or Holy Light spell, gives you a ? chance to gain Mana equal to the base cost of the spell.

Divine Favor - 1/1 point
When activated, gives your next Flash of Light or Holy Light spell a 100% critical effect chance.

Protection Talents (26 points)

Redoubt - 5/5 points
Increases your chance to block attacks with your shield by 30% for 10 seconds after being the victim of a critical strike.

Improved Blessing of Protection - 2/2 points
Reduces the cooldown of your Blessing of Protection by ?.

Toughness - 3/5 points
Increases your armor value from items by 6%.

Shield Specialization - 5/5 points
Increases the amount of damage absorbed by your shield by ?.

Improved Blessing of Freedom - 5/5 points
Increases the duration of your Blessing of Freedom by ?.

Reckoning - 5/5 points
Gives you a ? chance to gain an extra attack after being the victim of a critical strike.

Holy Shield - 1/1 point
Increases chance to block by 30% for 10 seconds and deals 40 Holy damage for each attack blocked while active. Each block expends a charge. 4 charges.

Retribution Talents (14 points)

Benediction - 5/5 points
Reduces the Mana cost of your Retribution spells by 15%.

Two-Handed Weapon Specialization - 5/5 points
Increases the damage you deal with two-handed melee weapons by 5%.

Seal of Command - 1/1 point
Fills the Paladin with the spirit of command for 30 seconds, giving the Paladin a chance to deal additional Holy damage equal to the damage of the Paladin's weapon. Only one Seal can be active on the Paladin at any one time.

Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge an enemy for 30 seconds, causing 24 Holy damage any time the enemy becomes stunned. Only one Judgement per Paladin can be active at any one time.

Vengeance - 3/5 points
Gives you a 9% bonus to Physical and Holy damage you deal for 8 seconds after dealing a critical strike.

Shield of Righteousness animation sucks!

Wow, this animation sucks. Hell, even Hammer of the Righteous, which do need a new animation looks better than this. I´ve seen a video and talked a Protadin on the beta. He says that the shield goes off so quickly that you won´t even notice it!

It happens so fast you can miss it. Shield is completely Silent! If i hit that button for ShoR you can barely even tell i ever did. Looks like a shield spell rising off of your shield real fast toward the target it seems. ShoR goes off so fast it took me over a dozen screenshots just to capture the images of it going off.

Anyway, that isn´t the most important, the most important about this spell is the damage and the treat from it. With 454 BV it hit for around 1907 and can crit fo more than 2000 damage. The crit translates to almost 4000 threat, that is pretty nice for a lvl 75 ability. I guess the numbers will be alot higher when we get our hands on the tier gear.

Just saw this, the new rewards from Gundrak. The quests work pretty much like the old ZG quests. I will give you some examples:

Gal'darah Must Pay - Tol'mar at Dubra'Jin wants you to slay Gal'darah in Gundrak.
For Posterity - Chronicler Bah'Kini at Dubra'Jin wants you to enter Gundrak and collect 6 Drakkari History Tablets.
One of a Kind - Chronicler Bah'Kini at Dubra'Jin wants you to enter Gundrak and recover a piece of the Drakkari Colossus.

The last quest is intressting. The rewards from that one is one of the four rings I´ve posted, some really nice ones aswell. Gives you a hint on the items you can expect in a 76-78 instance.

Being "uncrushble" in 5mans

In TBC we and Warriors shared the same fear. To run a 5man that we overgeared, didn´t matter if it was a heroic or normal, went same on both. Well, maybe except Mgt, that instance is good, I hope that mobs hit that hard in Wotlk normals on level 80. Well, if they hti as hard as in Mgt they won´t hit for a shit on lvl 8, but I mean the damage scaling.

However, since BoSanc now gives back 2% mana and 1 rage when you dodge, parry or block. Being "uncrushble" (You won´t need it in raids, only mobs +4 lvls crush now) mean that you will dodge, parry, block or that the hit will be missed. That mean that you will gain 2% mana / 1 rage on almost every hit on you. Good change. Lots of threat.

Use the shield as a weapon!

One of the designers mentioned the movie Gladiator the other day. Watch how Maximus uses his shield -- he isn't cowering behind it -- he's bashing people in the face with it. Shields should be a viable form of combat, not the option to avoid combat. It would be awesome if some day Arms was the 2H tree, Fury was the DW tree, and Prot was the sword and board tree. Prot has a long way to go before it's more PvP viable, but maybe, just maybe there could be a tree where control and survivability were an alternative to just bigger damage. It may not happen this expansion, but it's a step in that direction.

First to level 80, new titles!

The new Wrathgate cinematics

So this is what will play, together with a movie, when you destroy the Wrathgate and get access to Ice Crown Glacier (I think). But it seems like the Forsakern will release a new plague, and some people are goign emo about it at the end. But most important, Bolvar is alive and kicking in Northrend!

Highlord Bolvar! Thank the Light!
For Lordaeron!
For the Alliance!
Back, you mindless wretches!
Fight on, brothers!

Rise up, sons of the Horde!
Blood and glory await us!
Lok'tar ogar! For the Horde!
FOR THE HORDE!

I was wondering if you'd show up!

I couldn't let the Alliance have ALL the fun today!

Arthas! The blood of your father, of your people, demands justice!
Come forth, coward, and answer for your crimes!

You speak of justice?
Of cowardice?
I will show you the justice of the grave and the true meaning of fear.

Enough talk! Let it be finished!
You will pay for all the lives you've stolen, traitor.

Boldly stated, but there is nothing you can--

What?
Did you think we had forgotten?
Did you think we had forgiven?
Behold, now, the terrible vengeance of the Forsaken!

Sylvanas...

Death to the Scourge! And death to the living!

Fall back!

This isn't over.

Now, all can see this is the hour of the Forsaken.

We're finished.

No escape...

for any of us.

Training dummys in Dalaran!

Nice neck and other stuff

Titanium Earthguard Chain. Give. Me. This. Neck. First neck with armor that I see, and a socket, could be very nice on level 80.

Anyway. They made Druids share loot with Rogues, so the 999999999 Armor Value is no more. Druids won´t hit the armor cap anymore, except maybe in the best gear available from the highest 25-man, if that. It's the reason they added Mother Bear. Mother Bear talent actually compensates for that - every piece of mitigation Blizzard got from druids by Armor, is now returned with talents.

Rhinolicious Wyrmsteak. Notice how it says "40 Expertise" and not "40 Expertise Rating". Yummy! That one, and the Dragonfin Filet will be the tank foodbuffs, much like Spicy Crawdad is today. I also like that the food gives Stamina, now it gives Spirit + one stat.

Mana users. They are chainging the regen, totally different from TBC. Now, the higher mana
(Int) you got, the more mana you regen. Not like today, when Spirit and mp/5 is good. Intellect will outclass mp/5 by far in Wotlk.

Wormhole: Gadgetzan. Imba or not? This will be THE thing when you have to get a neutal AH, or when you want to get a quick teleport to CoT. Well, they lifted the reputation requirement in Wotlk. But still.

BoSanc giving 1 rage is confirmed

I picked up a warrior on my server who had beta and we tested it out. He says that he was getting 1 (one) rage per dodge/parry/block from BoSanc.

Intresting, now we have to see if it´s a typo, or if it´s a bug.

Or. Maybe Warriors will prefer Kings, for increased Stamina and threat, infront of BoSanc. If they do so, it would probably make our Healthpool for fair, since we have 16.6% extra Stamina. But, I think that the good Warriors still want BoSanc for the 3% damage decrease, even if it only give 1 rage on D/P/B.

I know that I want BoSanc, for 3% and 2% mana. THat 3% will give me 9% mitigation in damage, 1% less that Warriors.
